This is a photo I submitted to the aday.org photo project. It’s just a simple photo I took with my iPhone 3GS as I’d run out of film on my #Holga. That’s the view I have from my desk at work. I’m pretty lucky.

Metlink have a campaign against fare evading, which pretty much paints you as a criminal/traitor if you don’t pay. One of their slogans is ‘“No change” is no excuse’. I think it’s a valid excuse, but also wondered how it might apply to requests for change from the homeless. A homeless guy once told me you should always pay for PT as the fines were really bad (pretty heartbreaking as he was getting food out of a bin). Couple that with the rise in PT fares, and I don’t think it bodes well for anyone. Hosier La

mX is a free tabloid available to commuters in Melbourne. It’s full of celebrity/show biz/weird/gossip/’news’. Every headline contains a terrible pun. I rather loathe it (but more than that, see so much potential in the medium, but it just prints trash). I did some pastings in their distribution booths (which seem custom-made for small art installations). There were suggestions from myself and friends for some more interesting reading material, and a letter asking mX to stop their puns.

RIP Ilya Zhitomirskiy. Your work has been epic. You will be remembered. Peace. #diaspora http://dia.so/1db
